Why Choose St Joseph's
We are delighted that you are considering our school for your child’s education. Choosing the right school is one of the biggest and hardest decisions you will make as a parent or carer. You can read everything about a school or chat to people in the community, but nothing beats visiting the school and getting a ‘feel’ for the place.
St. Joseph’s is a small primary school located in the beautiful, scenic setting of Barnoldswick, nestled close to the surrounding countryside of Lancashire and North Yorkshire. We are successful and committed to raising standards of achievement, with wonderful children, supportive parents, and dedicated staff and governors.
Our school is very welcoming with a real family atmosphere, where pupils are cared for and valued in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all to thrive. Being a small school allows us to give each child individual attention, fostering a close-knit community where we all get to know each other well. With high expectations and strong moral values, we focus on developing each child’s potential, emphasising their happiness and well-being.
Our beautiful and vast school grounds provide an excellent space for children to learn, play, and engage in sports, enhancing their physical development and love for the outdoors. Whilst we also place a great deal of importance on community—working in partnership with families to nurture the whole student academically, socially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Our core values of honesty, respect, love, trust, and friendship are the foundation of our school. These values, rooted in our Catholic tradition, guide our students to become respectful citizens and lifelong learners.
We welcome applications from families of all faiths and no faith. If you are interested in learning more about our amazing school, please book an appointment with me. Let’s explore the school together! Contact details are at the bottom of the page.
All are welcome; all belong.
